Chapter 1
I woke up scratching my head, and almost forgetting about the big day I had ahead of me. Time for another new school. When are we going to stop moving anyway? Eh, well it’s not like I had much friends at the other school anyway. I’m going to a place called, Winterville High School. No, I don’t live in a place called “Winterville”. Why it’s named that? Don’t ask me.Anyhow, excuse my manners. The name is Ariella. Ariella Montoya Garcia, to be formal and all. I’m also fourteen, believe it or not. Yes, I really do belong in High School, okay? I have a little brother, Rico. He’s just the most adorable thing in the world! Plus, he’s not the annoying brother type, I know, I’m blessed, aren’t I? Well, now I have to get ready for school. Luckily, we don’t wear uniform! Better than my old school, where we dressed like “Bonita ella’s” as my brother called us. He supposedly thought the schoolgirl-like uniforms were pretty. They kind of were, though.
I threw a random Hollister shirt and skinny jeans on my bed, and walked towards it. Then quickly spun around and grabbed an Aero jacket. Brand mixture, I know it’s bad, but I like both brands, so what am I supposed to do? After I got dressed, I looked at myself in the mirror. I could be the newest edition to this school’s popular crew. Long black-blue hair, curly as ever. Asian-like eyes, perfect eyebrows, with no work, and a chubby, but not too chubby. Though, it’ll never happen. I’d have to make friends first! Then leave em’ like I always do.
After I did my make-up, and got all my Charlotte Russe accessories, I grabbed my gigantic purse, and headed down the stairs.
“Hola mami.” I said giving my mother a kiss on the cheek, and sitting down to eat breakfast.
“Buenos Dias mamacita. Why so rushy?” My mom asked while placing the plate of food down on the table.
“Oh, no reason. I’m just excited, you know?” I said, trying to contain my giddiness. I had a good feeling about this year.
I finished eating and soon was walking to school on the streets. Soon I was jamming out to Y100 and singing and dancing along to every song they played. I knew them all by heart; I always listened to this station. Being me, I wasn’t watching where I was going, and managed to bump into someone. It was a goth-looking boy.
“S-s-sorry. I didn’t mean-“ I started, but was stopped by the glare he was giving me. Oh yes, I wasn’t dressing like I normally do, since this was school of course. He probably thought I was some preppy chick. Well, he thought wrong.
“Look, I’m not the average preppy chick, kay? So stop giving me that glare. I’m bubble goth, got it?” I said giving him a hard stare back. Trying to stay somewhat confident even though I was scared.
“Then why do you hide it.” He said coldly. Staring down at me. Yes, down, he was pretty tall.
“I don’t know..I wanna fit in.” I said, small-like. He scoffed. “Well, do you have any friends?” I said glaring back at him.
Suddenly, the amused expression disappeared from his face, and all that showed was emptiness. “No no, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it like that…” I said, not wanting to permanently rid myself of the one friend I may be able to have that would understand me.
“It’s alright. It’s true anyway. I always get told that, so whatever.” He said, his expression not readable.
“Nope. You do have a friend now. If you don’t mind one fake gone real?” I said smiling. He laughed.
“Alright then, new friend. Um, what do I call you?” He said confused.
“Ariella Montoya Garcia. That’s the name.” I said, extending a hand to be official-like. The amused expression returned.
“Okay then, Ariella.” He said smiling and shaking my hand.
We continued walking, and reached school minutes later. I ran in the bathroom to change. Yes, I bought normal clothes just incase it was that type of school. I changed into a black kerli top, with black skinny jeans with rips in them, a spikey bracelet, and moonchild headband. Then did bubble goth make-up. Finally, I looked like myself. When I walked out the bathroom he smiled.
“Now, this is someone I want to be seen with.” He said winking, then laughing.
Turns out, we had five classes together. So, we’ll be seeing a lot of each other. Friends? I didn’t make any, except for one. But you know what? I’m good with that.

thanks a ton for all the comments. i'm so sorry me and cassie haven't been writing for a long time, well we have, but published nothing. plus the writing site has nothing either, so we've been lazy, lol. but now were back. i'm surprised at how many of you guys love this story! this might be a series if it gets that popular, if not, a one-book thing. now that i have time to write, you guys won't have to wait forever, lol.
