Rockelle's Story (Short Story)

This is a short story I recently wrote in class.

Rockelle’s Story

It was an ordinary day at Rhode Island Middle School. Not for me, though. It was just another day of pure torture. I walked into the classroom slowly, and shyly. I really hoped Shantelle and Kima would just leave me alone! My best friend in the whole entire world, Kayla was in a different class. She was in 7-2 which was really unfair because she was smarter than some of the people in our class! So, I had no protection at all, normally Kayla would also be there backing me up.
“Okay students, turn to page 235 and read Early Civilizations, then answer the questions for then and now.” Mrs.Wynter said brightly. I sighed and slumped back in my chair. Not another one of those long biographies and 5 questions! The late bell gave off a harsh, loud ring. Everyone jumped in their seats, even me! Shantelle, Kima, and… wait a minute! Kayla walked in behind them and pushed the door open angrily.
“Kayla, what are you doing here!?” I asked shocked. “My mom got me into 7-1 she kept calling the school until they finally changed me! Then they put me in your class, probably to make my mom less mad.” She said giggling. “Oh my gosh! Tell your mom I love her, although she already knows.” I said laughing. “Girls, would you care to tell us about your little conversation?” Said Mrs.Wynter sternly. “No ma’m!” We both said really fast.
Next, we went to lunch. Shantelle and Kima walked by and bumped me in the shoulder. “Hey, did you ever take your jacket back from Nickia? Obviously she had to save you from your crying, she probably didn’t want you to get embarrassed.” Said Shantelle while saying the last words baby-like. “Yeah!” Said Kima emphasizing. Just then, Kayla lunged forward and jumped on Kima.
Then, where did we end up next? Splat in the office, that’s where. I sat in the baby chairs clearly annoyed and fed up with Shantelle and her lying mouth. Kima just sat there fake crying. “Oh please, just cut it!” Kayla Said angrily. “What?” Kima Said sobbing. “Your fake-crying is what!” Kayla yelled angrily. I ended up explaining the whole truth.
Later on, Kayla got off with a warning and Kima almost got suspended. I was clearly worried because Kayla almost got in trouble, again! While walking by, I saw the hideous sweater in the lost-and-found box. It was rugged, an ugly color of dark purple, it was woven very badly, and was plaid patterned with ugly greens, reds, and more purples.
The next day at school, something miraculous happened. I finally stood up for myself! Kayla was so shocked she ran over there and hugged me. The day passed on flowingly. It was the best day of my life!
Later that year, we met a boy named Johnny; Shantelle had started bullying him now. She got suspended after Johnny told, and Kima finally got tired of her. Johnny, Kima, Kayla and I ended up all being best friends. That’s how our school year went.
