Thoughts ; Chapter 5

Thoughts; Chapter 5:

"Well aren't you happy today! What happened?" My mom asked.
"I made a new friend!" I said happily. But I obviously didn't tell her that I made a new enemy, too.
"Well good for you, Amber! Why don't you go and freshen up. Dinner will be ready in an hour or so." She said.
I took a shower, changed into my pajamas, and finished my homework. I looked at the clock which read 4:30. I still ad about a half an hour before dinner would be ready. I grabbed my phone and began texting Sammy until my mom called us down for dinner.
While I was eating I began thinking again.
Why did Lexi suddenly notice me this morning? Was it my shirt? I'd never wear it again. I liked my own style anyways. I thought.
"This is great spagetti mom!" I said.
"Thanks sweetie." She replied.
"So mom... Are we gonna go to the street fair this Staurday?" I asked.
"No, unless you can find a friend to go with. Your father and I have to work Saturday." She said.
"Can I go wish Samantha?" I asked.
"Sure. Why not." She replied.
After dinner I went straight to my phone and texted Sammy.
For the first time in my life I was having a great day.
