Idea (Please read!)

Members should have to post on the Rules thread saying that they agree to the rules before they can post in other sections.

That way, staff can tell if a member has visited the rules (but they still can't be sure they have read them).

Because I've seen alot of people who were told to read the rules, and they either faked it or read HALF of it.

And sure, this would be alot of work, but it would (hopefully) get more members to actually READ the rules.

I like this idea. :] It does make it easier to ensure someone has read the rules.
We can make the thread to sign them in the rules section, so the new members have to read the rules and go to the section first, then they can sign the rules.(:

Yesh I agree we could do it that way, thanks!

i think its both because maybe they just dont even read it but sign it anyways? its like saying you agree with the terms and services of something your downloading when you really dont care and there isnt a "I don't really care just get on with the download" button xD that isnt a really good example but its a pretty good point (not bragging xD)

And we could maybe have a secret code word in the middle of the rules or something so we know they actually read them :)
The code would be changed weekly....or every 3 days....etc.

The only thing with Rules signing is that if you enforce it later in your forums life {}, then it might not be very good, as most of our members have left or stopped coming on, then it'll look like barely any of our members have signed themm.. hm..

I like this idea but there is good and bad points about it however it is a really good idea but we just cant ensure members have read the rules.

I think it's a great idea! I make sure to read all the rules, but like you said, not ALL members do. So, I think this was really good!
