The 'D' Word

I know that it's coming
So tell me right now
I don't think I can bear the suspense
The tears fall fast
A ship cannot sail with a torn, tattered mast
My wings are torn
Like a flightless bird
To think I don't know is completely absurd
The tension is mounting
The days I am counting
Until I hear it
The 'D' word

Summary:
There's a lot of family drama going on right now, and I think my parents might get a divorce, and I'm really scared.
I cry in my room when I don't think they're listening, and like a ship with a torn mast, it isn't smooth sailing.
"My wings are torn, like a flightless bird" means it doesn't feel like I can fix it, and I don't like that feeling.
The "D" word is Divorce.

That is like sad... But I LOVE your poems.

im so sorry. i believe this wont happen if your parents care about you.
but just know, even if you dont like him, justin went through this for real..and hes still strong.

Ugh..I hate divorce. My grandparents went through it but, my grandma is dead so yeah....yes it's a tough time and I know how you feel. Hope you feel better soon..

What a Beautiful poem. All you need to do is stay positive and look up at the bright side. And if they do get a divorce just think, they're both happier that way. You can still see them both but not living together. They're happier now. Once again. I love your poem.
