1st Poem // By Lizzie

I was just pouring out random Feelings ;3. My first poem I have made on this forum . It's pretty deep, xD.

Sticks and stones May break my bones
But words will never harm me
Such a touching phrase,
but clearly untrue in my eyes.

I used to see crystal clear
But my lenses have been broken
I now view the world in a completely different way
Few offer to lend me their glasses.

I stick to my own customs
I have never vowed to change my ways
But the day has come
For me to re-mold myself.

I am going through a lot of pain right now
Not acting like myself
But please forgive me,
I will not let a fractured ankle bring me down.

I will get back up to your surprise
And try, try again
But I have never come across a moment like this
I assure you, I will get through it.

Maybe not today, maybe not a week from now
But soon enough with help
From those who sacrificed for me,
And stepped into my shoes.
