Chatbox idea

My idea is that...

The chatbox is NOT open 24/7. Alot of times people are on at like 1am and no mods are on, so there is alot of rulebreaking going on.

Maybe the chatbox could open at like 8am and close at about 11pmish??

I just thought this would help, because without mods members have no one to tell them to stop.

I think that is sorta a bad idea because people have different time so maybe when the chat box closes you are just getting out of bed

i think it is fine how it is but people can't get away with breaking rules when no mod or admin is on the chatbox because they can not clear the chatbox so everything said will still be there until a mod or admin returns

Sometimes the chatbox fills up and things start to disappear if no one clears. But I agree about the times......
EDIT: IDEA POSTED ON MY IDEA::

Maybe there could be a new thread posted every day entitled "Month Date Year Chat Thread" or something like that! And no one would be allowed to post on it once that day is over except the mods... So that there would still be chat just not chatty-chat.

That would mean an admin would have to be on at those exact times.
I can't, cause my internet time is restricted.
Also, it wouldn't be fair to those in wayyy different time zones.
Like Test & people in UK.

maybe it should just have a little time out for admins to check on a certain day for a few hours.

Whenever admins are online they can open it up. (like the chat could still have hours, but whenever admins are online it will be open too)

You can click archives to see if anyone posted anything while you were gone.
Also you can report it if they did something wrong to any staff.
We'll tell them and maybe give them a warning usually.(:

I like the idea but it may not work because of time difference.:/

I don't think it's super fair to those who are in different time zones. Members can't clear chat so everything said will stay until a mod/admin/chatmod clears.
